    Hi guys,

    Yeah Groovemeister, I agree with you.
    You cannot be drummer and ignoring this Jeff's video !!!

    I remember reading Peter Erskine in some old interview, he said that he has to go back watching Jeff's video tape before "taking" the job with Steely Dan...

    By the way, this month with have in some french drum magazine a magnificent interview with Erskoman, really very instructive !!!
    This guy is so clever, so humble, a big big lesson just by reading him, incredible !!!

    Cheers.

    I agree with Klemme. When I first saw him play that Bonham groove on his instructional DVD, I said, "Yeah!" Even though it's basically just a shuffle groove, the attitude he puts behind it is sick. I could listen to that all day.

    Try playing the a Rosanna variation groove with your Left hand on the Hi-hat and your Right hand on the snare.

    r=ghost R=Hit

    rll - rll - Rll - rll - rll - rll - Rll - rll

    Play the same Clave pattern with the bass drum.

    Works for me.

    Try playing the exact Rosanna groove but, accent the ta instead of the down beat. TA-one, TA-two, TA-three, TA-four.
